$1,000

If someone came up to you and gave it to you right now, what would you do with it?

This is a great blog question. I'm going to have to steal it.

Steal away, but you have to answer first :)

Hard to say until it happens!

seriously, this is so trivial and probably selfish because i know there are a gazillion people who need to have a thousand dollars right now, but I would buy my husband a new recliner to replace the falling apart one he has had since his dorm room in college. he has been pricing them and testing them out, but he keeps walking out of stores saying we need to use the money on more practical things. i would totally love to surprise him with the one he wants without having to touch our budget money to get it for him! maybe he should ask santa, huh?

told you it was trivial, right?

Purchase a lot of Christmas presents and drop them off at the doorsteps of families in need. There are a lot of children at both of my schools that just don't get much from Santa because the funds are just not there...
I would love to just be their Santa for them.

I would buy Steven the PS3 he wants so bad and a coulple of games ( sounds selfish I know, but he doesnt ever get anything for his self and he doesnt ask for it I just know he wants it!) Then the rest of it I would take the kiddos to the store and let them spend the rest on a family in need of christmas. They love doing that and being able to do it bigger would be great!

I would give half of it to the Frost Family. Then I would put the rest in my savings account that is empty.

honestly I would put it into savings until we needed it. Here's another a question.....what would the answers be if say you asked this question in June?

This is EASY! I'd fix my car to make it last another year or put it towards a used van! That poor Grand Prix literaly runs on hope and prayer - our Sunday School class even prays for it! lol

I'd have to use it for some home improvements that I keep putting off...new floors, new blinds, new paint etc. Planning to do some of these things in the new year!

We adopted a single mother and her child for Christmas and it has made our Christmas MUCH more special. So I would have to say that I would take that money and make a difference for another family (or families) who won't have a nice Christmas.
The looks on their faces when we delivered all of those boxes...priceless. And it shows my VERY LUCKY KID just how lucky he is.

eliminate the last $400 of debt on my crappy providian card, place $200 in my emergency fund, and finally pay an extra $400 on my car payment.

Basically whatever it takes to get rid of those dang debts that plague me.
