Ugg Boots-A little random I know...

I know this is a completely random blog post, sue me :)

I am rolling around the idea of getting some Ugg boots. Or boots period, although I can't do boots with a heel so that's why I thought maybe Ugg. I could spend hours googling them or I could just post it here and find out the scoop here.

Are the knock off Uggs as good as regular Uggs? How much do they retail for and have you found them anywhere super cheap? Do they run small, big, normal? I want a pair that will fit UNDER jeans, not over...what's your recommendation? Are they going to work for me since I have cankles (not a calf, not an ankle-just a straight shaft)

I am super cheap, so I can guarantee that if I buy them, I will keep them FOREVER! Are they still in style? Are they going out of style? Are they really comfortable? Like, could I stand in them all day at the consignment sale?

Brea, I have uggs... I love them. They are so comfy! You definitely could wear them all day at the consignment sale! And even sleep in them. I use mine as my house shoes too. I dont wear them out much unless it's super cold because I have the tall ones. I suggest getting the shorter ones.

And I havent found any knock offs that are as nice and comfy as the real ones. I have tried (because I wanted other colors). Are they in style still? I dont know, but they are so stinking comfy that I dont care. :)

I bought mine on ebay 2 or 3 years ago, have worn the crap out of them, and they are still in awesome shape!! I'm not sure where the best deal is now, but I suggest starting on ebay. ;) Good luck!

Ok, you hit on a great topic. Isn't that weird that I just said something about those last night?? Me and Allie can both wear the same size Uggs, the kids boots are about 60$ cheaper. We can wear 3's (they fit a womans 5). I do have some that are a size 6, but they are a little big. Our boots are authenic, 'cause we are spoiled:) They are the most comfortable shoes you will buy!! And if Anna has a bigger foot, she could wear them too. I've seen a ton of people with them, so I don't think they will be going out of style any time soon, and when you get them, you won't even care!! Love ya, Holley

Brea,
I finally broke down and got some for Christmas after looking and longing for three years! They are by far the best purchase I have ever made! I purchased the authetic Uggs at Journeys but I am sure you can get them cheaper online. I got the really tall ones with a thicker sole but would recommend the shorter ones instead. They are so so so comfy and warm! I love them and want them in every color! The guy at Journeys told me to purchase ones that are snugger because they will losen a little when the fur settles in. I did this and now they are perfact! Good luck, I am sure you will not regret this purchase one bit!

I've had mine around 4 years and they're still awesome! I have the traditional mid-calf ones. And if you wear boot-cut jeans they fit under. They're super comfortable all day. Worth every penny! If you get hot though at the consignment sale working so hard these may not help, I sometimes have to take mine off if I'm warm indoors.

Brea - Yes, Yes, Yes, my daughter lives in her Uggs this time of year. It's even stated they are great in bare feet. The knock offs run smaller than real thing, but it's truly hard to tell except for the price of a real pair from a fake. We had about 4 pairs here in an attempt through Ebay to get a pair for my daughter-in-law for Christmas. The knock offs were too small. We gave up on Ebay and ordered a pair from Decker stores which I HOPE is the real thing. The crocheted Cardies are what my daughter lives in. She has two pair from last year and I bought her a grey pair of cardies for Christmas on Ebay. Somehow we got lucky and easily got the real thing in grey, but black has been impossible. There are a few pair that are chocolate and look great but I have no idea if they are real or not. THe real thing will run a little big but if you are a true whole size I would try my size before getting a smaller pair. My daughter wears the cardies over her jeans and up the long way but she's 6' tall and looks great with them like that. Please try them out if you're looking for warmth and comfort. April wore them to bed the first day she had hers. I've also read that Uggs are one of the few things that are not suffering a downturn due to their continued popularity. I wish I had known you were considering them when we had our mini store. You could have come over and tried them on. Love to you Sherry M
