Quick autism question

Without doing much research (for some reason I am EXHAUSTED tonight), I wanted an answer to a quick autism question. Does anyone know if autism affects one sex more than the other?

The reason I ask is that I realized today that almost everyone I know that has a child with autism, that said child is a boy.

One in 90 boys will be diagnosed with autism. One in 150 children will be diagnosed with autism. Yes, boys are more likely to be diagnosed with autism. Go autismspeaks.org and you will find answers to most if not all of your questions. Pass this along to all of you friends! LU Crazy Aunt Jane- I LOVE SOMEONE WITH AUTISM!!!!

For every 1 girl diagnosed with autism, there are 4-5 boys diagnosed.

Nearly all developmental disabilities have a MUCH higher prevalence in boys. I don't recall the exact figures but I believe autism has a particularly high gender skew towards boys.
