Verse for today...

The last two days have been a little, well, hectic.

Yesterday, I had to have my ingrown toenail cut out again. Instead of just cutting down the side like normal, he cut half my toenail off. I start an acid treatment on it tomorrow to keep it from growing back. I can't wait. I consider myself a pretty strong person, but when it comes to putting a needle in my toe, I can't help by freak. My hands are sweaty, I start seeing stars...trust me, it's not pretty.

After that, I went to shop at my business partners sale. I was able to score some great deals although I was dying of pain from my toe. God put Sherry at that sale, as she had some pain medicine to help me get through the afternoon til I could get back and pick up my prescription.

Today, I went to Louisville to pick up another store for the sale (GREAT STUFF). Candy and I had a great time catching up on the ride up and had a yummy lunch.

We got some adoption updates over the last few days and as I spent some time in the word, this was the verse that was laid on my heart. I thought I would share it with you.

"Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your heart be troubled and do not be afraid" John 14:19

Go back and read it again. He gives us peace and not just any peace, HIS peace. As Jonathan and I rapidly approach the time that another child will come into this home, we are nervous about what that will look like, especially for our four other children. And yet we have PEACE!!! I know some people don't understand why we would adopt another child and that's ok, but God just promised me that he doesn't give as the world gives. If you keep reading, you will notice that he says DO NOT LET your heart by troubled. Our heart doesn't just get troubled, we LET it get that way.

As I am approaching the sale at RAPID pace, knowing there are still a million things that need to get done, knowing I will miss my children, knowing that crazy things always happen, I KNOW GOD IS IN CONTROL and I AM SO GLAD MY SAVIOR LIVES.

Tomorrow the boys have a basketball game and then they are showing our house at 11am.

Will you pray for us? Pray that we keep our eyes on God. Pray that we stay open to his will? We NEED prayer right now and I am so thankful for it!

P.S. THANKS to all who have sent money in for the raffle. We are BLOWN AWAY by your generousity. We have already raised over $200!
