Ok, so you know how you hear about some friends doing a firework display in your neighborhood and you think big deal. Well, I'm getting ready to tell you about the real deal. Last year, we tried to watch the church fireworks out our back patio. We kept noticing that someone was shooting fireworks from the front of our house on the next street over. We finally wandered out to the front yard and couldn't believe the display we were seeing. When we moved to this street, we couldn't wait to see the REAL DEAL we had heard so much about. Evidently, one of the neighbors down the street has always loved fireworks and starts buying them the day after the 4th each year to get ready for the next years display. He works throughout the year putting together sequences, mounting them on boards and wiring them together, etc. It took five full size trucks to get all the fireworks to our cul-de-sac. Just unloading them, we were instantly impressed. All the neighbors congregated in our driveway (including the former owner who came back to watch the show!). They told us we would need umbrellas because the debris would start raining down on us once the show started. They were right.
The show lasted for about 30 minutes and were some of the best I have EVER seen. Seriously. They were huge. They were loud. They were unbelievable. I'm so glad he paid for them and not me.
All of us sitting under the umbrellas. The fireworks woke up Mary Elizabeth but she LOVED watching them:
After the show, we simply had to go take pictures of the aftermath because we knew no one would believe what we had just seen take place in our quiet little cul-de-sac:

Oh my! My dog would have a heart attack if he were next to that house! We saw the Henderonsville Park FireWorks where we lived at. We went to LH Fire Works too. The show was cut short for some kind of malfunction with the fireworks. But we had a blast just watching it!
on our way to LH I told Jeremy we should have just had a BBQ at your house. Looks like next year we really should!! *hint, hint*
Tell Jonathan I think he looks real cute holding the frog umbrella. ;)
wow.. that looks amazing! I think we might join you next year!

Oh my gosh this same thing happend in our neighborhood. It was this good too, I had no clue what was going on. I hope next year they do it again and I can find out how they managed it. Think about how much money it cost. SO cool.
