No, we don't have a baby :)
I know this is probably going to shock some of you, but we listed our house on the market today. We have been toying with the idea for a few months, but honestly we didn't know if it would sell in this market. We decided a few weeks ago to earnestly pray about it and although we have no idea where we will go IF it sells, we just felt at peace about doing it.
Here's why (another REAL moment):
Our goal is to have our home paid off as fast as possible, preferable another 5-6 years. In this house, we just feel like that might not be possible. We can easily afford our house note, but applying the extra to it that will allow us to pay it off in our goal time is not happening right now.
We LOVE our house, honestly it's perfect for us, but at the end of the day it's a house. We can find something that will meet our needs without all the frills we have here, pay it off quicker and have extra money each month to help others that are less fortunate than us...especially kids in other countries.
We have no idea if it will sell, if it does sell, when that will be. We are just trusting God. If it sells, that's awesome. If it doesn't, that's ok too.
Please pray for us through this process. You know it's no fun keeping your house "show" clean all the time. PLUS the biggest prayer request we have is that so far we have looked at everything in our new budget in our school district and the one next to us and haven't found anything that we loved. Of course, we would NEVER buy a house before we sell this one, BUT it would make me feel a little more comfortable knowing we have some options before selling this one. Obviously, God is telling us to trust him!

I'm sorry but this post cracks me up! Any chance your selling a car too?? :) Oh you know I love you and I'm just teasing. I will pray for discernment for you through this, I know it can be overwhelming.
Oh and you do know that the sale is 2 weeks away, right??!!! :)
Wow! Sorry we are not in the market for a house in TN. Although we could probably buy 3 for the price of what we paid for ours in NY. :-/
It is all in God's hands!! We decided to sell our other house and before we could even get a sign up in our yard, we had an offer for the price we wanted. It was a total God thing!!! Good Luck!!

Hey Brea.. I have been praying and looking since we talked last week! I still would love for you to buy the house 2 doors down from me!!!! It has a pool.... lol
