The Veranda is located at 149 Bonita Parkway in Hendersonville, TN. For you locals reading this, it's in the back of Patricia Jane, the cute little shop that is located right in front of the old Walmart in Hendersonville. They are open for lunch Tuesday-Saturday from 11ish-2ish I believe.
Why I love them? They are both the sweetest people and Mrs. Terry can COOK! The fruit tea is TO DIE FOR, the grilled pimento cheese is the best thing on the menu, and the daily specials are amazing. Last week, I had a cheesy artichoke soup that was probably the best soup I have ever eaten. On Saturdays, they have quiche. YUM!
A few other things you might not know: Mrs. Terry will open for you if you want to do a Sunday School luncheon, etc. and need a space. She makes casseroles/quiches/etc. for you to carryout if you need something for a baby shower, etc. They have a great outdoor play area for the kids including a tree swing my kids LOVE! Since they are locals, I just wanted to give them a shout out and hopefully increase their business....they are WONDERFUL ladies and deserve to be packed day in and day out (but save a table for me!)

I took my mom there last Mother's Day. I might have to do it again. I definitely would love for them to stay in business!

Great place to eat and for some reason very relaxing.
It IS very relaxing, especially when the weather is nice enough to eat outside on the patio. Brea and I eat there almost every Friday and we LOVE it. Wanted to mention, too, that I had Alexandra's 4th birthday party there a couple years ago. They do a "Tea" for little girls, not just for birthdays, but for any occasion. It was soooo much fun. All the girls that came wanted to have their birthdays there too. And it was quite reasonable. Really, a great spot for lunch!
Pick me...pick me...I am sure that me and my friend Kim could carve some time out to come eat there and also go to the Kids Clothes Basket...which we went to last week after your post and RACKED up. LOVE IT!
The veranda sounds intriguing! We'll have to make a trip up there sometime. Congrats on getting word of your adoption! I'll be praying that all will work out well.

I took my sister and mom there for lunch today. What a nice day to eat on the patio. Great food. The Ham with cheese and Apple Danish Bread looked really good! The fruit tea is delicious!
I have never been, but it sounds like a great place for the twins to have a Birthday party. They just turned 7 April 30th. I can't believe it.
