If you are ever filling out one of those profile sheets at your doctor and it asks for allergies, here's a few things to consider:
*Unless you are at an allergist, it is asking for drug allergies. They don't need to know that you are allergic to peanut butter or your sister's cat. Trust me, neither of those will be part of the treatment plan.
*If you are allergic to a certain drug but can't remember how to spell it, just wait and tell the nurse when she takes you back to the room. Yes, nurses and the front desk staff make fun of you behind that little glass window when they are putting your chart together and you really mess up the spelling of the words in that box (I know that sounds mean, but hey, they do).
