Harsh, but reality?

Part of me was hoping I wouldn't have to put this out there, but I have said all along that our adoption process was a learning process. Not only just for us, but for all of our friends and family as well.

A few weeks ago, I realized that some of my dear friends/family have yet to come and see Mary Elizabeth. Honestly, we don't get out that much and usually when people have a baby, people flock. So the question is....is race the issue?

I don't think that can be it. I think with having your journey on the blog people feel like they have caught up with you by reading about it. I know I talk to people all the time that I have no idea what it going on with them but they feel caught up with me because they read my blog. I know I have hardly been home much less visiting anyone so maybe it is the time of year? I am a lame friend...sorry!

I am not minimizing how you are feeling either though. If you have had some of that reaction already it is totally understandable to feel like that is why people are not visiting.

i hope that is not the case because you are a wonderful person for adopting her into your family even though you already have your own children. plus she is a beautiful little girl and I love reading about her and seeing the pics!

You know, I should have put a subtitle on the post that said, "if you are reading this, there's a 99% chance this post is NOT meant for you"

THANKS for your words though ladies...sometimes I just need to spit some feelings out! :)

I don't think race is the issue. I think people know you have many things going on and dont want to burden you with getting ready for a visit. I know I have not wanted to bother you because you have so much going on! We love all of you!!!!

I didn't send you a Christmas card either, because I don't know your new address. She's beautiful.
